Advanced Mechanical Engineer

In this role, you have the opportunity to

GTC Advanced Mechanical Engineer leads solution for special task, work with cross function to understand user requirement, customer needs, provide multiple proposal and perform analysis for decision making, deliver the technical content, performance, intellectual property and quality deliverables of an NPI program.

You are responsible for

The Advanced Mechanical Engineer must understand and capture the user needs requirement and design activities.

Insulation, High voltage safety and pump design knowledge will be better.

KARS (but are not limited to):

• Review and coordination of the GTC Product Roadmap, provide the technical input for GTC performance Product Roadmap.

• Developing and maintaining GTC product quality and engineering project funnel

• Influencing cross-functional teams to implement quality actions

• Providing guidance and requirements to new product development teams in order to improve quality of new releases

• Design assurance and design control/process compliance

• Leading cross function teams access/evaluate the Geometry technical scope/effort.

• Supporting supplier screening and supplier development

• Versed in Mechanical tolerance analysis, welding, Plastic, Cooling unit and pump design

  
  

• Design activities

• Understanding marketing and customer needs of GTC product Mechanical;

• Leading design feasibility study under pressure with cross function;

• Leading design visualization efforts with CAD models and essential component and assembly details to explore multiple design options;

• Developing innovative designs to meet all requirements for performance, reliability, serviceability, warranty, cost and manufacturability;

• Developing engineering design concepts for components and mechanical assemblies that have tough requirements for usability, precision, reliability, cost and schedule;

• Conducting analysis of installed base and new product reliability using FMEA Analysis tools;

• Verification/Validation activity:

• Leading product development of verification and validation activity and execution;

• Verifying and validating subsystem level reliability;

• Working with marketing to improve product serviceability and reduce warranty cost

• Leading the defect analysis and design change activity during product development phase

• Design transfer/post market activity:

• Working closely with supplier to ensure the product quality

• Supporting product design transfer R&D delivery

• Support field issue analysis and close

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

Quality Specific Goals

• Aware of and comply with the Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this position.

• Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines.

• Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required.

• Support compliance/closure of Regulatory and Quality requirements before completing Design Outputs/Program Deliverables.

• Participate in continuous improvement activities by identifying and appropriately escalating process and product quality gaps, providing solutions when possible.

• EHS compliance.

Qualifications:

- BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (defined as 5 years relative engineering experience)

- Above 3 years’ experience in mechanical design or project engineering
