ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
·Lead as Subject Matter Expert in all global & regional lean six sigma systems and applications
· Lead as Subject Matter Expert in all lean six sigma principles and practices
· Communicate to all regional teams key lean six sigma metrics
· Coach, mentor, and train engineers within the lean six sigma team & other functional engineering teams as needed
· Ensure the standardization of Jabil processes throughout the site in accordance with the global, regional and site direction
· Develop new lean six sigma best practices with supporting data to Regional and Global lean six sigma teams to optimize existing
best practices
· Link between strategic vision and tactical implementation for the site
o Be the architect and leader of lean transformation efforts
o Enable the implementation of lean six sigma plans directed at the achievement of the organization’s purpose
o Set key metrics to gauge lean six sigma maturity within the organization
o Ensure alignment and synchronization of Jabil’s Lean Six Sigma mission/vision/purpose that support business plans
· Deploying organization design to foster continuous improvement and human development
o Develop standardized policies and procedures with Regional Lean Six Sigma Managers
o Integrate lean six sigma principles, values, philosophies and tools for driving improvement
o Encourage risk taking and experimentation using the scientific method within the organization
o Establish processes, systems and enablers to create a learning organization
o Ensure that the process supersedes the leader – creating an environment where leadership changes are non-disruptive to
the process
o Establish and drive programs and processes for people development and leadership development
o Provide remote or direct support for sites in Lean Six Sigma Management transition
· Eliminating barriers by enabling effective communication about lean six sigma strategy & deployment
o Communicate Jabil’s lean six sigma vision and strategy to all in the organization
o Reach out to leadership to ensure understanding of lean six sigma
o Communicate a sense of urgency throughout the organization around the need for Continuous Improvement
o Foster respect for people and humility as they mentor and coach others on their lean journey
· Being the subject matter experts in lean six sigma principles, values, philosophies and tools
o Be a leader as teacher/mentor/coach
o Establish mechanisms to teach, mentor and learn lean six sigma within the organization
o Lead by example and model the desired behaviors and corporate values
o Establish people development-education, motivation, empowerment and involvement
o Encourage cross training, skills assessment, instructional goals, on-the-job training, teamwork, information sharing,
suggestion systems and others to foster lean six sigma within the organization
o emain up to date on latest trends in lean manufacturing through benchmarking and participation in various Lean
consortiums
· May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Typically reports to Management. Direct supervisor job title(s) typically include: Sr Lean Six Sigma Manager, Sr Operations
Manager.
· Job is NOT directly responsible for managing other employees (e.g., hiring/termination and/or pay decisions, performance
management).
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Experienced in change management, project management and financial management
· Qualified & experienced trainer
· Excellent Leadership and communication skills
· Track record showing continual improvement of personal skills
· Proficient and knowledgeable in all areas related to operations
· Results-driven change agent
· Ability to effectively communicate in all media forms and cross-culturally
· Ability to influence all levels of the Jabil organization
· Practices humility and influencing at any level within organization to achieve goals.
· Proficiency in use of personal computers, Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and e-mail skills required.
· Be expert in lean tools and processes to coordinate and share knowledge on a regional scale
· At least 12 years of working experience with 7 years of experience in Lean Six Sigma area or related field
· Degree in Industrial Engineering or related discipline preferred
· Six Sigma Black Belt certified by recognized organizations in the industry (e.g. ASQ, SME, Shingo Prize)
· Lean Certified Project and facilitation experience in a heavily matrixed environment
· Experience in change management
· Or a combination of education, experience and/or training.
